As an existing home security customer, you have already made the decision to protect you home and family with a security system. We appreciate your business and we are always available to help you with your home security needs. Many customers are changing their telephone service to Verizon FIOS, Cablevision Optimum Voice or other internet based telephone services. Please be aware that once the changeover has been made, your alarm system must be tested to assure that it was connected properly to the modem.
A monitored security system is highly regarded by insurance companies. If you have not notified your insurance company that you have a monitored security system, please do so. You are entitled to a homeowners insurance discount for security systems of up to 20%. If they require a certificate from All Island, we will be glad to provide you with one. All too often, security systems are left unarmed. Security systems should be used regularly. Security systems are not only intended to be armed when you leave your home, they should also be armed when you retire for the evening. Most burglaries occur in the daytime, and in many instances a burglar will observe your pattern for several days or even weeks to learn when your home might be vacant. You have already invested in a security system and have the support of our 24 hour Central Monitoring service so why not take advantage of it at all times and keep those security systems armed whenever possible.
